48:02 Dame Angela Lansbury DBE 1925-2022 Thanks for the entertainment ❤ 😊
Tony, Tony, Tony
You know they asked streisand and the hag turned them down...
Bravo, Buddy Ebsen!!!
The new version isn't as lavish as the original
Could live without seeing Nathan Lane ever again...he is so over-rated, obnoxious and annoyingly fake.
Why is Glenn Close allowed to sing in public?
❤ our fine Kathleen Turner. Saw her on Broadway as Martha with Bill Irwin as George in WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? ❤
Brava, Betty. Makes one ask: Why is Glenn Close allowed to sing in public?
Ginger Rogers: when stars were STARS!!!
Rumour was this was Betty's last performance on this show. Therefore she was shedding her tears whilst singing this beautiful song.
I was there! Last row of the balcony. Still remember Rosie joking (and swearing) during the commercial breaks, Alan and Natasha winning, and Lion King winning best musical. (which was an upset at the time.)
Bacall showed such sheer delight in winning the Tony. She glowed. A delight to see her get the award!
So when maria was born on December 26th 1969.
Just like Maria the Justin's grandma in Florida.
Did they do a memoriam segment on here for the stars they lost the year before aka example : Nell Carter ❤
no and Nell died early in 2003 before that Tony awards so had they done an in memoriam thing there she would have been included in that the Tony's didn't do an in memoriam segment until 2005
@@iHeartsNostalgiaPit Ty for letting me know . Maybe they did one in 2004 . Either way we lost a legend when we lost Nell . ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm glad The Producers won instead of that disgusting Full Monty! Sorry, but it's my opinion!
Uhhh i love this man so much❤️❤️ 1:37:59 😩✨
Priscilla Lopez has hardly aged a day 57:46
Im thinking perhaps Bonnie Franklin could have been cast as Eve.
audra McDonald's...could you just puke?
Nathan Lane is so over-rated...SO over-rated.
There will always be only one Miss Adelaide: Vivian Blaine
Can't listen to Cook in her later years - her voice was like lard.
Now that Angela Lansbury is gone...she's gone.
Sideshow? Sorry....rofl...
TITANIC won by default...nothing else on Broadway that year. I had the comic pleasure of seeing it. After the opening number, it sucked.
Fosse choreography kind of tired...showing it's age.
This is fun to watch. And fascinating. Just enjoyed the moment when Jerry Lewis is presenting the nominees for Best Featured Actress in a Musical, which Kelly Bishop won. When he announces Patti LuPone’s name, the camera person instead zooms in on Ann Reinking, sitting next to Bob Fosse. Whoops. Still, it’s a fascinating moment to see when neither Patti LuPone nor Ann Reinking were well known yet, and so the producers weren’t able to catch the mistake.
I first recognized Madeleine Martin (the 10-year-old 57th annual Tony Awards presenter) as the voice of JoJo Tickle from the Playhouse Disney/Disney Junior children's stop motion claymation television series JoJo's Circus. Plus, I can't unhear JoJo Tickle.
omg dorothy loudon unbelievable 53:00 acceptance speeches sure were classy back then
Even if, forgive the heresy, you don't know who Sutton Foster is, this performance absolutely shows how she is *perfect* in the role, from the first song to the last! I absolutely cannot imagine anyone else in the role, and seeing other productions, while I'm sure that other actresses have worked very hard, they pale in comparison to Sutton Foster.
I always forget that Neil Patrick Harris can sing
Oh dang Michael Bennett was so hot, but is also the type to not be into me at all haha
55:38 hugh jackman
...the baritone who's the bell of the ball ... Lauren Becall.
wait did they build the entire set??? or is this a clip from the pro shot??? i’m so confused
for sunday in the oark
Wonderful. And hearing and seeing Eleanor Steber was superb
This has to be the worst directed Tonys ever!!
MissPooch! Thanks so much for posting all of these. You are the best!!!
Gregory Hinds on the "If He Walked Into My Life" − Mame WOW, I would have loved to see that version lol
The thumbnail 😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
I was in high school... It did not look this bad on TV
Avenue Q deserved the win. Wicked is cute, but Its spectacle distracts you from the fact that it's not a very good musical.
Ragtime not winning Best Musical is :(
maybe in some other year it would have had a chance
1:39:58: Elliot Lawrence, who served as musical director of 47 consecutive televised Tony Awards between 1967 and 2013!
Nancy Dussault was the only performer here to sung for all three tributes.
Was she suffering a cold during this performance? She sounded raspy and also changed the melody of "The Perfect Year".
Rest in peace Richard Sherman; you are now making music together again with your brother Robert again!
Must be such an exhilarating feeling to hear your own voice soars above the orchestra like that!
